Golden Gambler's Diamond, aka, Whiskey is your "anything" guy. He's a trail horse at heart and will go for miles and miles at YOUR pace, or will walk, running walk, and canter in an arena. AND he will do it all on a loose rein. No need to wear your hands out. There is absolutely no buck or rear in this horse. When I first got him, he’d had 3 years off in a field and never even offered to do anything bad on that first ride.... (read more) He was a gentlemen who just needed some fine tuning. Not hot but will get you where you need to go. He goes out with a group or alone. Does great either way and is not barn sour. He neck reins or direct reins, has "stop on a dime" brakes, an easy back up, super soft in the mouth, side passes, canters on both leads, holds his super smooth gait consistently, will jump over arena jumps or over just about anything out on the trail (has been in hunter paces and over cross country jump courses), has worked cattle, opens gates, heck, we even barrel raced one time in a show. He is not spooky and does well with dogs, other horses, farm animals, etc. Easy to catch in the field and has a sweet and goofy personality. He's an easy keeper and has great feet but does better with shoes on trails. Whether you're looking for a safe mount for an intermediate kid to have some fun on, a husband horse, or a partner to get you over miles of trails safely and smoothly, this is your guy. Even if he hasn't done it before, he's willing to try and picks things up very quickly. I can't say enough good things about him. The only reason I’m selling him is because I don’t really ride gaited horses. If he wasn’t gaited I’d be keeping him.
P.S. His forelock and tail will grow back thick and to the ground. I had no choice but to cut them last Spring :(
